She reached beyond the fairy-lighted artificial garland sitting in proudly across the fireplace to where an advent calendar was propped against the wallpapered chimney breast,

He had called Lalia as soon as he had checked his balance online, and was now storming around the floor of the restaurant in mid-morning he feared would be bankrupt by that afternoon,
"'Cesco, 'Cesco, chill out, man," Lalia assured him, "You will be able to afford all this, your main competitor is outta business 'round there, they won't be back open for months, if ever!"

Jane picked her way through the carpet of discarded newspapers, not to mention the smattering of candy wrappers, to Lalia's perch at the breakfast bar,
"You're right, Lalia, they certainly are 'stacking up'," Jane tutted, her eyes fixed on Lalia's bulging chest resting heavily on the counter in front of her; she cast another newspaper aside, her expansive bosom flopping onto her midriff as she turned on her seat,

A Craving Control Tribute The evening was just starting to creep over the night sky, sun still hanging lazily at the horizon. Jane was quite pleased with herself. She managed to get out of her shell long enough to talk to a classmate of hers she had a schoolgirl crush on, and the two had actually agreed to a dinner date! Well, dinner at local burger restaurant wasn't exactly the classiest of locations, but it had a good wholesome Americana feel to its décor.

"Sorry it isn't much," Jamie remarked, as the waitress came with an appetizer plate of cheese sticks.&

Jane protested, on hearing the news of Lalia's romantic developments; she had three dates lined up that afternoon and evening, all arranged the previous day. Jane was stunned if not surprised at the quick work of her vivacious housemate, given the amount of attention Lalia could gain from the opposite sex, both intentionally and unintentionally. But a 'triple date' was audacious even by her unrestrained standards,
"Well, I guess Trevor finally plucked up the courage to ask me on a date!" chirped Lalia to her mousey, bookish friend,

She noticed her date waiting on the kerb near the restaurant, a broad, a dark-haired man immaculately dressed in a sharp, deep-blue suit with subtle pinstripes; Lalia bounded across the pavement with a swaying gait into the familiar gentleman's embrace,
"Lalia, my dear, so good to see you," Edmund effused, touching both shoulders gently as he leaned over her abundant gut to kiss her on each cheek,
"You too, Edmund," she replied, "How's the 'Plenitude' business?"

I think it was a really good piece; money well spent on the buyer's part. If I have one complaint, it is that sometimes description felt... inadequate. Other than that, it was good.

I guess there's only so much you can fit in twenty-some pages. Feel free to give an example or two where you feel descriptions were inadequate.

Actually, I gave it some thought and realized that the crux of my complaint was that the majority of the description was focused on Lalia. I felt like the other women didn't get adequate screentime- but then I came to the conclusion that this is intentional. The story is ABOUT Lalia, she's the focal point. It's only fitting she get the lion's share of the story.

If you are up for it, I have seen well over a hundred people who would die for a sequel to craving control. Out of all the writers I've seen, I can think of no better talent to craft the script. I don't mean to pressure you, or belittle your already impressive portfolio, but you have the potential to do something really great with this.
